Mr. Van der Kwast is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the State of New Jersey, and the State of Delaware.
Mr. Van der Kwast graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 2003 and went on to earn his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 2006. During this time at law school he served as judicial extern for the Honorable U.S. Chief Magistrate Judge M. Faith Angell of United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and clerked at well-established personal injury firm.
Prior to joining Grace and Kennedy, PC, Mr. van der Kwast was an attorney/partner with a Philadelphia based insurance defense firm for 10 years. Today, Mr. van der Kwast continues his practice primarily focusing on civil litigation matters, including commercial litigation, product liability, premises liability, construction defect, fire loss, and automobile liability. Mr van der Kwast has successfully defended a wide variety of cases in Federal and State court, including the Courts of Common Pleas of Philadelphia, Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, and Bucks Counties in Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
During his free time, Mr. van der Kwast enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. His hobbies include deep-sea fishing, golfing, scuba diving, and traveling.
