Jay is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States District Court for Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He has successfully litigated issues before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Middle District of Pennsylvania, the District of New Jersey and Pennsylvania and New Jersey state courts. He has tried several cases to verdict in the Pennsylvania state courts.

Jay has been selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star by Law and Politics as published by Philadelphia Magazine in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations,the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel. He was recently elected into the membership of the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel. He has served as an Instructor for Widener's Intensive Trial Advocacy Program since 2004. He has served on Widener University School of Law Alumni Board since 2005. Presently, Jay's practice has focused on defending corporate and public entity clients in a variety of legal matters including products liability, premises liability, construction defects, contract issues, motor vehicle, intentional torts and wrongful death.

Jay was born in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. He was raised in West Chester. While at Villanova, he was a four year starter and 1998 Captain of the Villanova tennis team. While in law school, he served two terms as the Student Bar Association Executive Board Treasurer from 1999-2001. Prior to law school, Jay was an Assistant Tennis Professional at both Aronimink Golf Club and Llanerch Country Club. His interests include all sports, live music, real estate, and travel. He still plays tennis competitively when his schedule permits. He presently lives in Philadelphia with his wife and child and is an active volunteer in the community.
